CHARDONNAY Kaaimangat *201614.70
The Kaaimansgat or Crocodile’s Lair vineyard is hidden in the Elandskloof Valley near the village of Villiersdorp, just eighty kilometres from Hermanus. At 700 metres above sea level, our vines ripen a month later than other Cape Chardonnays and benefit enormously from cool autumn temperatures. Deliberately unirrigated, they produce small berries of high skin to juice ratio, which adds an extra flavour component to this superior wine. Deliciously complex and rich in fruit flavours, this wine offers an expanded taste expression. Gooseberry, sweet melon, jasmine and rose petal all combine to build on layers of a taste discovery. The nutty and creamy components will develop over time, enhancing the flavour with ageing.

PINOT NOIR Walker Bay Galpin Peak *201129.25
A beautiful wine, deftly balanced with lots of red berry fruit character and pretty floral aromas. Excellent small French oak barrel maturation contribution has assisted in achieving a super core strength to this wine. Its inherent balance and fruity personality promises the development of added flavor dimensions over a period of ageing!
